Mr. Michael Petryk September 22, 1926 - June 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Oakview Funeral Home Petryk, Michael – Passed away suddenly at Credit Valley Hospital on June 17, 2005 at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend of Rose for 50 years. Loving father of Wayne (Laura), Karen (Brian). Dear Grandpa of Moriah, Jacqueline, Alexander, Matthew and Jennifer. Predeceased by his brothers Nick and John. Lovingly remembered by his sister Mary, Aunt Helen, cousins Stella and Jenny. Also, lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. A compassionate man, Michael touched the lives of many family and friends. He proudly served his country during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Navy and as a dedicated peacekeeper in several foreign postings. Friends are invited to share their memories of Michael during visitation at Glen Oaks Reception and Visitation Centre, 3164 9th Line (at Dundas & 403), Oakville (905) 257-8822 on Monday, June 20 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
