LENARD KENNETH MARTIN It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Lenard Kenneth Martin on March 15, 2005 at his residence. Lenard was born Nov. 17, 1960 in Fort Frances, Ont., where he lived all his life. Lenard’s zest for life will always be remembered. His infectious smile and laughter, and sense of humour, filled everyone’s life he touched. Lenard was always surrounded with friends, cars, and fishing rods. Lenard’s love for his family and friends was always shown through his acts of kindness. Lenard will be greatly missed by his son, Randy (Angie) and his newly-cherished grandson, Reece, of Fort Frances, Ont.; and his daughter, Christa (Joe) of Alymer, Que. Lenard also is survived by his father, Ken, and step-mom, Madeline; sister, Susan; brothers, Gordon, Jim (Diane), and David (Loretta); step-siblings, Judy (Roy) Williamson, Bev (Brent) Strachan, and Murray Hutchins; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles. Lenard was predeceased by his mother, Julie Martin; step-brother, Jim Hutchins and step-niece, Denise Gill; along with grandparents, Nora and Alfred Ronne, and George and Beatrice Martin. A memorial service celebrating Lenard’s life was held Monday, March 21, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Knox United Church in Fort Frances, with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating. Pallbearers were Lee Monahan, Ron Clapp, Graham Matheson, Terry Martin, Gary McClymont, Mike Adams, Clay Flinders, Doug Derendorf, Jamie Roth, Jay Polenske, Curtis Fowler, and Kurt Kruger. In memoriam donations may be made to Knox United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
