VIOLA KATHLEEN DITTARO Viola Kathleen Dittaro, 84, of Fort Frances, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances with her family at her side. Viola was born on September 21, 1920 in Port Arthur, Ontario. At a very young age she moved to Fort Frances where she had lived since. She had worked in the cafeteria at the high school for a number of years. She enjoyed knitting and reading but most of all she loved spending most of her time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances. Viola was united in marriage on September 19, 1940 to Henry who survives along with their daughter Kathleen (Bill) James and son Richard (Cammy) Dittaro, all of Fort Frances. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Olive Erickson and Lois Milette, both of International Falls, MN; her brother Don (Gladys) Kerr of Fort Frances as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters Betty Ann St. Peter and Rosalyn Armit, son John Dittaro, parents Charles and Violet Kerr, 2 brothers Hugh and Ross Kerr and grandson Ian James. A celebration of Viola’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances with Father Francis Pudicherry officiating. The honourary pallbearers will be Viola’s grandchildren, Kim Perrault, Audra Smith, Brian Armit, Barry Armit, Jennifer Dittaro, Chris Dittaro, Brad Dittaro, Corrine James, Shelley Oster, Deena James, Angelique LaFrance (Dittaro) and Nicole LaFrance (Dittaro).
