ORTON, Ruby May - Died at Nipissing Manor on Wednesday, February 16, 2005. Ruby May Claridge was the beloved wife Melville "Mel" Orton, she was in her 86th year. Loving mother of Glen of Callander. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shana and Jason. Dearly loved sister of Wilma, Evelyn, Isla, Shirley, Fred, Garnet and Larry. Remembered by Debbie and by many friends. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Blanche Claridge and by her siblings Elsie, Edna and Lloyd. Ruby had been an active leader of the C.G.I.T. (Canadian Girls in Training) at Laurier Avenue United Church and she and Mel owned and operated Clear Lake Camp in Restoule for 40 years. Visitation will be held in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 21st, at 11 a.m. Spring interment to follow in the Nipissing Village Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Nipissing Manor Auxiliary or the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
