KNAPP, Clarence Herbert (Bert) - At home with his family at his side on Wednesday February 16, 2005. Born in Sackville, New Brunswick, on July 8, 1918, Bert served as a flight Lieutenant with the RCAF during World War II. After the war, he worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for 42 years. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor. Loving father of Harold (Nicole) of Holland Landing and Catherine Morland (Gordon) of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Ian and Whitney Morland, Erika and Maria-Laure Knapp and by niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Rob McClung. Bert was an avid outdoorsman all his life. His other great passions were his workshop and his garden. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. A memorial service, in memory of Bert, will be held at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Friday at 3 p.m. If desired, donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
