Clermont, George Donat LA FAMILLE CLERMONT a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de GEORGE DONAT CLERMONT 1921 - 2005 à son domicile à Timmins, Ontario, le 2 février 2005, à l'âge de 83 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil sa première épouse Rose Clermont de Toronto ainsi que sa deuxième épouse Mona Clermont de Carp. Il était le père bien-aimé de Phyllis Clermont de Toronto, Irène Clermont de Timmins, Ann McGee (John) de Mississauga, Robert de Timmins et Dawn Poulin (Darcy) de Carp; grand-père de neuf petits-enfants: Shaun Clermont de Montréal, James Chaput de Toronto, Sarah McGee de Toronto, Jonathan McGee de Seattle, Washington, Justin McGee de Toronto, Camille et Isabelle Poulin de Carp, Quinn Clermont de Mattagami Reserve à Gogama et Andrew Clermont de Timmins. Il était le neveu estimé de Soeur Marguerite de Varennes d'Ottawa; beau-frère de Léo Boisvert de Gatineau; oncle de Loreen Boisvert et son fils Jesse d'Ottawa, Brenda Montreuil (Ron) d'Ottawa, Phillipe Warren (Vivian) de South Porcupine et cousin de Eveline Warren de South Porcupine. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, André et Irène Clermont, son frère Félix Clermont et sa soeur bien-aimée Stella Boisvert. Don était un homme qui aimait beaucoup le plein air et les parties de pêche, la chasse aux perdrix et à l'orignal ainsi qu'à courir les ventes de garage pour des antiquités. Il trouva plaisir à participer dans des discussions autour de plusieurs sujets à son intérêt. Vétéran de la deuxième guerre mondiale, il adhérait comme membre de la Légion No 88. Ouvrier et travailleur dans les mines d'or du Nord pour plusieurs années, il côtoyait plusieurs amis dans la même industrie. Le Jardin des Souvenirs à Ottawa tiendra une cérémonie pour déposer ses cendres dans un columbarium le samedi 25 juin à 14h30 au cimetière St-François-de-Sales à Gatineau. Paru le 2005/06/18 dans Le Droit ACGZ8995CLERMONT, George Donat 1921 - 2005 It is with regret that the Clermont family announces the passing of Joseph Napoleon Orient Donat (Don) on the 2nd of February, 2005, at his home in Timmins, Ontario. He was born in Hull, P.Q. on December 10, 1921. He was predeceased by his parents Andre and Irene Clermont, his brother Felix Clermont and his dear sister Stella Boisvert. A licensed miner and prospector, he worked in the gold mines of Northern Ontario as well as on the Dew Line. He was an army veteran, and a member of the Timmins Legion, Branch 88. A self-taught carpenter, he loved repairing and renovating. He could fix anything and enjoyed using his extensive collection of tools on his house and on his vehicles. Don was a man who loved the great outdoors; he particularly enjoyed fishing and hunting for moose and partridge. A great story teller and raconteur with a wry sense of humour, he enjoyed discussions on many topics. His own lack of higher education did not prevent him from encouraging his children in their academic pursuits; Phyllis is an artist, Irene a school teacher, Ann a high school principal, Robert a carpenter, and Dawn a doctor. He leaves his first spouse Rose (nee Valunas Wilson) of Toronto as well as his second spouse Mona (nee Muir) of Carp. Beloved father of Phyllis Clermont of Toronto, Irene Clermont of Timmins, Ann McGee (John) of Mississauga, Robert Clermont of Timmins and Dawn Clermont-Poulin (Darcy) of Carp. Grandfather of Shaun Clermont of Montreal, James Chaput of Toronto, Sarah McGee of Toronto, Jonathan McGee of Seattle Washington, Justin McGee of Toronto, Camille and Isabelle Poulin of Carp, Quinn Clermont of Gogama and Andrew Clermont of Timmins. Nephew of Sister Marguerite de Varennes (Ottawa), brother-in-law of Leo Boisvert of Gatineau, uncle of Loreen Boisvert (and son Jesse) of Ottawa, Brenda Montreuil (Ron) of Ottawa, Phillipe Warren (Vivian) of South Porcupine as well as cousin to Eveline Warren of South Porcupine. Friends and family are invited to attend the placement of his ashes by Le Jardin des Souvenirs, at the St. Francois de Salles Cemetery in Gatineau, P.Q. on Saturday, June 25, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Don's name to any organization helping children.
