Helen Mary Snare September 13, 1920 - June 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * SNARE……Helen Mary, age 84, of Windsor, passed away suddenly in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, on Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 13, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Charlotte (Nixon) Schnare. Helen was employed at the Nova Scotia Textiles for 25 years. She resided for the last several years, at the Kingsway Gardens, where she loved to do puzzles, play bingo, garden and simply enjoy the company of her friends there. She will be sadly missed by daughter, Charlotte Schofield; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Chelsea; sister, Regina (all of Windsor) and special friends, Ann McGrath and Mable MacDonald. She was predeceased by an infant daughter; a son, Albert; special niece, Dorothy; sisters, Ethel and Florence. At Helen’s request, cremation has taken place, under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. A private graveside service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2005, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Donations may be made to the Hants Community Hospital Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the SPCA in memory of her cat, “Boo”.
