Mr. Wes Hunt November 23, 1922 - June 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glenwood Funeral Home On June 21, 2005, Wes Hunt of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 82. Wes served as a member of the 2nd Company, Queen's Own Rifles during WWII, participating in the landing on Juno Beach on D-Day. During the advance through France he earned a temporary battlefied promotion to Captain. He is lovingly remembered by his children Cathy, Dave, Scott and his wife Helen, along with his grandchildren and great grandchild. The funeral service will be held on Saturday June 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta. If friends desire in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wes' name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
