Mabel M. Briggs Mabel M. Briggs, 104, of The Briarlea and formerly of Cameron Street, Moncton passed away at her residence peacefully with her family at her side, on Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Born in Havelock, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Thorne) Ryder. Mabel was a former employee of T. Eaton Co. Ltd., member of Highfield Street United Baptist Church, member of the W.M.S., The Young at Heart Group and the Sunshine Class. Mabel will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shirley Stiles (Gerald), California; grandchildren, Heather, Leslie, Michael; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur C. Briggs in May 1966; brothers, Cleveland, Elmer, Walter; sisters, Blanche, Violet and Helen. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995) Thursday 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel Friday June 24, 2005, 1:30pm. Rev. Jonathan Steeper officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
