ROWSOM, Ida Mae "Scott" (nee Garbutt) 82 years of Comber at Country Village H.C.C., Woodslee on Sunday June 4, 2005. Beloved wife of the late James R. Rowsom. Predeceased by her Children Judy Derbyshire (1996), Patti Dennis (1981), Mary Rowsom (2000), & Ken Rowsom (1987). Left to mourn her loss are her daughter Bet Pearson & son Tim Rowsom, both of Comber. Mother-in-law of Robert Derbyshire & Janice, Bill Dennis, & Bill Pearson. Dearest Grandma to Kevin & Claudia Derbyshire, Stephen Derbyshire, Lisa & Wes Brouwer, Jamie Dennis, & Halli Pearson. Great-grandma to Kate & Russell Derbyshire and Satchel & Sajan Brouwer. Predeceased by Parents Roy & Ida Garbutt. Sister of John Garbutt, Fred & Anne Garbutt, Madge & Charlie Wilson, the late Nellie & Melvin Jubenville, the late George Garbutt & the late Blanche Garbutt. Longtime friend and neighbour of Kathryn Bower. Scott committed her life in service to St. Andrew's United Church, the Comber Community thru the Comber Agricultural Society, Women's Institute, Canadian Cancer Society, Tilbury Horticultural Society, and volunteered at Country Village H.C.C. for 30 years. Cremation. The family will receive family and friends at Paul Reaume Funeral Home, Comber from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2005. Funeral Service from St. Andrew's United Church, Comber, on Tuesday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Lark Hoon Kim officiating. Interment at McDowell Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Comber Agricultural Society J.R. Rowsom Bursary or Country Village Activity Department. The family wishes to thank Marilyn Miller & staff for their compassionate care and for ensuring the residents of C.V.H.C.C., Woodslee lead a fulfilling life in the county.
