GASKIN (Russell), Marie Anita Passed away at Central Park Lodge on Friday, June 17, 2005 with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Gaskin (1944) and John Russell (1998). Dear mother of Louise and her husband Dr. Lee Brown. Grandmother to Geoffrey Baker, and Tracey and Roger Sorrell. Greatgrandmother to Patrick and Katie Baker, and Alexia Lanoue. Mimi to Stephanie Keevil Gjervan; Todd and Lisa Brown, and their children Nathan and Avery; Michael and Oriana Brown, and their children Colin, Nathanael, Harding, Gabriella, and Molly. Sister to Tom and Barb McConnell, and the late Marjorie Cascaden (1998). Aunt of Cathy Chambers, Richard Cascaden, Tim Cascaden, Michael McConnell, Ron McConnell, Pat McConnell, Nancy Rouble, Ron Gaskin, Donne Petryshyn, Mark Gaskin, Carolyn Gaskin, and Barbara Gaskin. Sister-in-law of Neil (February 2005) and Eleanor Gaskin, and Victor and Mary Gaskin. Marie was a Nursery School teacher at St. Paul's United Church during the 1950's before returning to her profession as a fashion illustrator for CH Smiths & Business Girl's. She then worked for the Art Gallery of Windsor Uncommon Market in Willistead Manor and helped move the Gallery to its present location. She was a member of the IODE James Cody Chapter, Art Gallery of Windsor, Maple Leaf Questors, and the Friends of Willistead. Her love of life, art, and people shone through to all who knew her. A Memorial visitation will be held at the WALTER D. KELLY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 1969 Wyandotte Street East, on Sunday June 19, 2005 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at ST. GEORGE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1949 Devonshire Court, on Monday morning June 20, 2005 at 11 o'clock. Family and friends are invited to a gathering at Willistead Manor following the service. Private family Inurnment Victoria Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the Willistead Manor Restoration Fund or the Art Gallery of Windsor would be appreciated. Published in the Windsor Star from 6/18/2005 - 6/20/2005.
