HOPPA, Albert S. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on June 20, 2005 at 73 years of age. Married to Mary (Jakubowski) for 50 years. Loving father of Pat Niziolek (Jim), twins, Mark Hoppa and Marlene Buckley. Proud Dziadzi (grandfather) of Brittany, Olivia and Adam Buckley. Predeceased by parents Maria (Moly) and Albert Hoppa and brother Jerry. Albert was a member and a past president of The Windsor Air Force Club Wing 412, The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 94 and Poppy Fund, The Border Cities Polish Canadian Club, Z.W.P.K. Branch 20, AFC Pathfinders Senior Group and The Rail Traffic Association of Greater Detroit. He was a veteran of The U.S. Air Force from 1951-1959. He retired as market manager chemicals from the Grand Trunk Railroad after 35 years of service. Special thanks to the nurses at Met Hospital 4th floor west and Dr. Coughlin and Dr. Yoshida. Visiting at The Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Blvd. E. on Wednesday & Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Thursday 7:30 pm. and RCL Service under the Auspices of Branch 94 on Thursday at 8 pm. Visiting on Friday, June 24 will continue at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 2135 Richmond St. from 10 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am. Entombment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations made to The Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to Holy Trinity (Polish) Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Albert S. Hoppa in the Morris Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome. Published in the Windsor Star from 6/21/2005 - 6/22/2005.
