ROUTTENBERG, Tess (nee Berish). Peacefully and quietly surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, May 30, 2005. Most devoted daughter of the late Sam and the late Minnie Berish. Beloved and treasured wife of the late David. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Ellen and Leonard Tannenbaum, Susan and Aubrey Zelman, Anne and the late Joey Routtenberg. Adored grandmother of Daniel and Caroline, Leyla and Eliyon Shemesh, and Lesley Tannenbaum, Zev and Jackie, Michael and Jakki Zelman, Jamie, Lynn and Jesse Routtenberg. Proud great-grandmother of Amiel, Maytavya and Simcha Sholom David. Dear sister and sister-in-law of William and Sara Berish, Ralph and Miriam Berish, Anne and the late Hyman Singer, the late Max and the late Raelene Routtenberg, the late Rae and the late Ted Mackie, and the late Sara Routtenberg. Dear aunt and loving friend to many. The family wishes to thank Dr. Berkson, Dr. Bronet and the doctors and nursing staff of 7 N.W. of the Jewish General Hospital for their kindness. Special thanks to Marivic, Elvie, Allene, and Joanne. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Wednesday,June 1 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Gan Shalom Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. The family wishes to observe shiva in the strictest of privacy. Tessie was selfless in her ways and her love of life and hearty laughter will be missed forever.
