van der LAAN, Maria Jacoba "Coby" Peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 in her 82nd year. Born in the Netherlands, March 17, 1924. Dear mother of Margaretha Kirby (Terry). Loving grandmother of Devon Neate (Darryl) of Toronto and Joanna Kirby and her fiancee Michael Livesely of Ottawa. Sister of Nicholas Laninga (Jannie) of Richmond, Martin of Ottawa and Klaas of the Netherlands. Step-mother of Clasiena Atsma (George) of Duncan, BC, Ellie Hogeveen (the late Arie) and Hendrik van der Laan, both of Russell, ON. Predeceased by her 1st husband Hans Kobes, her 2nd husband Henk van der Laan, her son Henk Kobes and 4 brothers. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr.) Nepean on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens.
