Jan MCCARTHY

POHORESKY, Jan (nee McCarthy) Unexpectedly on Monday May 30, 2005, age 57 years. Beloved wife of Harold, devoted and proud mother of Michael, William and Paul. Dear sister of Patricia Gonano of Toronto and Paul McCarthy of Kingston. Jan was a wonderful caregiver and actively involved in the Manor Park Community, The Ottawa-Carleton Chapter of the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, and the National Association for the Mentally Ill. Jan will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends. "We loved her dearly" Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Barthlomew's Anglican Church, 125 MacKay Street, Ottawa on Saturday June 4 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Beechwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jan to the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario (Ottawa-Carleton Chapter) c/o R.O.H., 1145 Carling Avenue, Ottawa K1Z 7K4, would be appreciated by the family.
