DAHMS, Clarence After a lengthy illness, Clarence (Cyril) E. Dahms died in his 90th year on June 5th, 2005 in Ottawa. He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Christine M. Patterson and children Judith (Peter) Rinfret, Patricia Bowen, Linda Dahms, Cliff (Sue Stewart) Dahms, and Peter (Barbara Walter) Dahms, grandchildren Alexandra Rinfret(Don Hancock), Guy Kevin Rinfret (Sonja Larsen), Marc Rinfret, Matthew Rinfret, Erica Bowen, John (Hawley) Bowen, Amanda Bowen, Joe Garcia Lozano, Paul Garcia Lozano, Patrick Garcia Lozano, Dana (Lisa) Dahms, David Dahms, Andrew Dahms, Sarah Dahms, Elspeth Dahms, and Angus Dahms, and great-grandchildren, Justin Dahms, Dakota Dahms, Lewis Hancock, William Hancock, and Molly Rinfret. He is survived by several members of his large loving family - sisters Marjorie Holt (California), Winifred Smart (Shawville, Quebec), Florian (Bud) Galbraith (Meaford, Ontario) and brother Edwin (Olga Regush) Dahms (Montreal), brother-in-law Henry (Louise) Patterson, and many nieces and nephews. Clarence (Cyril) was born in Thorne Centre, Quebec. After graduating in Agriculture from Macdonald College in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, he married and bought a dairy farm near Huntingdon, Quebec which he operated for 30 years. He was a President of the Quebec Farmers' Association. His second career was working as an agricultural consultant for the province of Ontario. Cyril was also an athlete, gardener, reciter of poetry, and keen observer of the natural world. Funeral will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa, 2:00 p.m., June 7th, 2005. The family thanks the staff of Rideau Gardens and Island Lodge. Flowers gratefully declined.
