Margaretha KOBES

KIRBY, Margaretha R.N. (nee Kobes) After a brave and lengthy battle with many illnesses, Marg passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the age of 57 years. Loving and devoted wife of Terry. Mother of Devon (Darryl) and Joanna (Mike). Daughter of the late Hans Kobes and Coby van der Laan (June 1, 2005). Predeceased by her brother Henk Kobes. A sister "in love" of Val (the late Rick), Lis (Bob), Marthe (Ernie), Sharon (Marc), Harris (Lorraine) and Scott (Anne). Step-sister of Clasiena Atsma (George), Ellie Hogeveen (the late Arie) and Hendrik van der Laan. Much loved aunt of Laura, Jenny, Amy, Rometheus, Jenny, Tony, Terra, Marc, Jacqueline, Paul, Nathan, Hannah, Stephen, Chris and Heather. Loved like a daughter by John Kirby (Evelyn) and the late Dorothea Kirby. Special thanks to Dr. Phil Wells for many years of dedicated care, Marilyn Colley, the staff at the medical day unit and the ICU staff's tender care at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Also, the loving congregation at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Stittsville. Illness overcame her body, but her courageous spirit remained with her until the end. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr.) Nepean on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 10:30.
