MASON, Joan (nee Lawson). May 18, 1930 -June 5 2005 Our wonderful Mom, Nanny, Sister and dear friend has gone to join the love of her life Terry. Her much adored sons Steve (Bunny), Garry (Cathy), Glen (Debbie), the grandchildren who all made Nanny so proud Jodi, Neil, Tracy, Cassi, Marli, Curtis and Makayla. Her 2 favorite sisters Marjorie (Pat) and Maureen (John), her kindred spirit and best friend Inger and Joan's many nieces, nephews, and good friends, have all been left with strict instructions to celebrate the wonderful life she lived. All of us will carry with us the love, the laughter and the strength that this little lady guided us with. We're sure you're having a good cup of tea right now Nanny as you and Poppa proudly smile down on us all. Yes you've had a wonderful life...The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on ward B of the Ottawa Rehabilitation Centre, your kindness and care was greatly appreciated. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, 2451 Maitland Road, Maitland (613-348-3405) on Monday, June 13th at 11:00 am. By request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
