Harold HAGGERTY

HAGGERTY, Harold. Passed away peacefully and in the arms of his loving family on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at the age of seventy-four after a courageous battle with cancer. Harold was a Coalminer, Policeman, Fireman, and a Korean War Veteran PPCLI serving twice in Korea, he was well known at the Royal Canadian Legion 24/106 as a bartender for twenty-five years. Harold was the beloved husband of forty-nine years to Florence May Hubley and a devoted father to Ellen Marie Cantley (Ken), William, Allister (MaryAnn), Deborah (Joseph), Beverly, Robert (Norma), and Edward (Pat). He was "Papa" to nine grandchildren and leaves behind many relatives near and far. He will be fondly missed by all. To honour his last wishes, a private family service and burial will be held.
