Elizabeth M. HUGHES

ROBINSON, Elizabeth M. (nee Hughes) 1917 - 2005 Elizabeth passed away peacefully with her son and daughter-in-law by her side on Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Sarsfield Colonial Home. Elizabeth leaves behind her beloved son John (Janet), grandchildren Kristen, James, Sean and Jodie, 3 great-grandchildren and sister Helen Young (Donald) of Pompano Beach, Florida. Predeceased by her dear husband of 50 years Eric, parents Arthur and Elizabeth (nee Harbeson), and brothers Douglas and Edward. Elizabeth was born in Montreal, attended West Hill HS, worked at the school board and for a group of anaesthesiologists before volunteering at the "nearly new shop" and snack bar of the children's hospital. She and Eric moved to Ottawa in 1980 where she volunteered at CHEO. Many thanks to the special and compassionate staff at Sarsfield Colonial Home who treated her with respect and dignity. A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd. in Orleans. In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, in memoriam donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Published in the Ottawa Citizen from 6/14/2005 - 6/16/2005
