BROWNE, Faye "Edna". Dayton, passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital June 17, 2005, following a brief Illness. Born in Argyle Sound, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Annette Saulnier, formerly Frost, formerly Spinney nee Bushell, and Hugh T. Spinney. Faye graduated from Concordia University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Faye moved back to Yarmouth in 1990 and has been a member of the Yarmouth Art Society and involved with Art Gallery Nova Scotia. She is survived by daughter, Cheryl Faye Browne, Yarmouth; son, Alan Harold Browne, Lorraine, Que., brother, Hugh Thorburn Spinney, New Hampshire and Florida; grandson, Gregory Averty-Browne, Lorraine, Que. Faye was predeceased by husband, Alan M. Browne, and sister, Audrey Louise Wood. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held June 29, at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Yarmouth, Father Mac Ellis officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Argyle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeney's Funeral Home in Yarmouth. She expressed herself through painting and living a simple life full of good friends near and far.
