McEWEN, Isobel Orissa Formerly Owens (nee Ridgeway) At the Queensway-Carleton Hospital on June 19, 2005. Born May 16, 1914 to Samuel and Sarah (Sheldrick) Ridgeway. Widow of Cecil Owens and Arnold McEwen. Beloved mother of Glenn (Joy) and Dalton (Barbara) Owens of Ottawa. Dear sister of Harold (Mary) of Ottawa. Predeceased by brothers George (Lola); Percy (Dorothy); William and sisters, Alma Marriott; Ruby Evans and Mabel Larmonth. Loving grandmother of Sharon Nicolai, Steven, Jennifer and Craig Owens. Great-grandmother of Jessica, Candice and Rebecca Nicolai of Beachburg and Matthew and Nathan of Stony Plain, Alberta. Survived by many nephews and nieces. She was a life-long member of The First Baptist Church of Ottawa. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. at Richmond Road Wednesday June 22, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday June 23, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Hawthorne Cemetery, Ottawa. In Memoriam donations to The First Baptist Church, 140 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, K1P 5J2 would be appreciated.
