LES ANDERSON Les Anderson, 63, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2005 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances. Les was born April 28, 1942 in Rainy River, Ont. to the late Les and Loretta Anderson. As a teenager, he moved to Fort Frances and has resided here ever since. Les worked at Safeway for six years before becoming a barber. During this time, he met and married Joan Roste. In 1977, Les became a baker, and he and Joan purchased the family business, now known as the Dough ’n Deli Shoppe. Les worked there until April of 2005. He loved his family deeply and his favourite pastime was playing with his granddaughter, Samantha. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Joan; son, Todd and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Joleigh and husband, Trevor McKinnon; granddaughter, Samantha McKinnon; sisters, Marlene (Don) Jarvis of Rainy River, Ont., Colleen Fadden of Sioux Narrows, Ont., and Phyllis (Claude) Belanger of Terrace, B.C.; lifelong friend and co-worker, John Strand; as well as several nieces and nephews. Les was predeceased by his parents, Les and Loretta Anderson. Parish prayers will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances.
