Jean Baptiste "John" Roby 1921 - 2005 Jean Baptiste "John" Roby, 84, of Birchmount Drive, Moncton passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at The Moncton Hospital, Moncton after a lenghty illness. Born June 24, 1921 in Lyster, Québec, he was the son of the late Philias Roby and the late Elise Bédard. John was a Veteran during World War II with the Royal Air Force and served in Continental Europe and Canada. He was retired from Corrections Services Canada. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #6 in Moncton, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Golden Age Club in Parkton. John will be sadly missed by his loving family; wife, Rita (LeBlanc) Roby; two sons, Léo (Jocelyne Brion) of Cap d'Espoir, QC., Normand of Moncton; one brother, Edouard of Ottawa, ON; two granddaughters, Andréa and Roxanne; and one great grandson, Bastien. He was predeceased by three sisters, Sr. Marguerite, Sr. Juliette and Imelda; and by five brothers, Ernest, Paul, François, Henri and Wilfred. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900) with visitation on Sunday, June 26 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Monday, June 27 from 10a.m. until time of departure. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2005 at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe.
