ADAMS, EDITH L. - Edith L. Adams passed away quietly at the age of 84 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on June 28, 2005. A lifelong resident of Campbellton, during her working life she was for many years the office manager for the Campbellton branch of Atlantic Wholesalers. She was a devoted supporter of the United Church in Campbellton and an active member of the UCW. She was a member of the Heritage Society of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Scottish Society. The youngest daughter of the late Andrew Adams and Flora MacDonald Adams, she was pre-deceased by her sister Fyfe Sullivan, and two brothers Lyall and Sydney. She is survived by her sister-in-law Josephine Adams of Bathurst, N.B (spouse of Sydney) and their children, Susan, Cathy, Paula, Anne, Gregory, Timothy, Thomas and William, and sons of sister Fyfe, James of Halifax, and David of Victoria, B.C and many grand nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Funeral will be Saturday July 2, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Maher's Funeral Home Campbellton, visitation Friday July 1, 7:00-9:00 Maher's. Following interment in the rural cemetery the family will be hosting a reception at Edith's home in McLeod's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Soldiers Memorial Villa, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Fund or a charity of choice. [Telegraph-Journal]
