Sherman "Bud" Hooper June 19, 1926 - June 29, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) 79 years, peacefully, on June 29, 2005. Late of Tecumseh. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Lowry) and predecesed by his first wife Edith (nee Keller). Loving father of Randal and wife Maxine, of Tecumseh. Dear grandpa of Shannon and husband Kevin Gronert; Erin Hooper, Sean and wife Diana, Jason and wife Lori, Jennifer, Colleen, Adam, and Jonathon Hooper. Dear great-grandfather of Nathan, Evan, Colin, Brandon and Catherine. Dear brother of Marguerite, Jackie and the late Luella, Fran, Mary, Jim and Bob and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Bud was a naval veteran of WWII and was a longtime golf course superintendant, most notably at Roseland and was a close friend to Nick Panasiuk of Hydeaway and the late Dan Uzelac of Dominion Golf Club. Visiting Friday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830). A service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Services Committee will take place Friday at 8:00 p.m. Visiting continues from 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2005 until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Rev'd Kevin George officiating. A cremation will follow with an interment of the cremated remains at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Lung Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sherman Hooper in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
