Frederick James Beels 1917 - 2005 Frederick James Beels, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday July 7, 2005 at the age of 87 years. Born in England on July 22, 1917 he was the son of the late Frederick John and Maud (Davies) Beels. He was a member of the West Lane Baptist Church. He retired from the C.N.R. after 28 years service. He was a member of the CN Pensioneers, a member of the BRCA Lodge No. 245 and chairman for the local board for 10 years prior to his retirement. He served in the Royal Air Force for 6 years during WWII completing 44 operational sorties against the enemy as a rear gunner reaching the rank of warrant officer by the end of hostilities. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Audrey (O'Blenis); daughters, Gail (Kenneth) Ramsey of Moncton, and Heather (Dick) McBeth of Petitcodiac; son, Frederick Frank Beels of Riverview; sisters, Iris Marchant, Joan Gilbert and Edna (John) Carpenter, all of England; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Sunday, July 10, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Scott Ryder Officiating. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Frederick's memory, donations made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the West Lane Baptist Church would be appreciated by his family.
