AKERLEY, WILLARD EUGENE - Of Manawagonish Road, died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 11, 2005. Born in St. George, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Ethel (Williamson) Akerley. He was employed with the City of Saint John (Maintenance Dept) for 28 years until his retirement in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Elsie May (Campbell) Akerley; two sons, William "Bill" Akerley (Marjorie) and Aubrey Akerley (Doreen); three daughters, Marilyn Murphy (Robert), Ruth McQuinn (David), and Krista Galbraith (Ross). Also survived by two sisters, Margaret Richardson (Robert) and Jane Fornier, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother James Akerley and two grandchildren, Edward Akerley and Tiffany Murphy. Resting at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from Cavanagh's Chapel followed by burial in Ocean View Cemetery.
