It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce Doug’s passing on Saturday, July 9th at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton. Doug is survived by his spouse and loving companion, Gladys Flutur; sister, Carol Studer, Atlin, B.C.; in-laws, Phil and Darlene Coram, Calgary, AB; Vic and Shirley Rempel, Lue Rempel, Swift Current, SK; and many dear friends. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Archibald and Vera; brother-in-law, Frank Studer. Doug pursued his love of flying and was fortunate to have spent many years as a pilot in the aviation industry. He always exhibited the highest standard in his professional life. His other favorite past time was spent on the golf course with his friends and colleagues. By request, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Forever in our hearts and minds, may he rest in peace.
