Garnet "Hogg" Wayne Levy August 10, 1945 - July 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * LEVY……Garnet Wayne “Hogg”, age 59, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2005, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on August 10th, 1945, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was a son of Edith Levy, Newport Station, and the late Medford Levy. Garnet worked at Maritime Paper for 25 years, prior to that he worked at Goodyear Tire in Toronto for 10 years. Garnet had a great love of sports, especially hockey and baseball, having coached for many years. Garnet had a great love of animals especially his poodles and cats. He enjoyed the ocean, which he said gave him peace. He enjoyed taking many trips around Nova Scotia including Cape Breton, which he called “a little bit of paradise right here.” Garnet, you were a wonderful loving companion, father, son, brother, father in-law, grandfather and companion. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving companion of 29 years, the former Joan Harvie; daughter, Lynnette (Iain) Reid, and expecting Garnet’s grandchild in November, Richmond Hill, Ontario; loving dad to, Tammy (Sylvain) Nadeau; Cheryl (Christopher) Sarazin; Dorinda (Darryl) Lane, all of Curry’s Corner; loving grampy to, Natasha and Katie Nadeau; Alysha and Kelsie Lane; Tyler Sarazin; sisters, Carolyn (Reg) Walsh, Avonport, Kings Co.; Donna (Brian) Slaunewhite, Falmouth; Sharon Levy, Kentville; brothers, John (Carol) Levy, Brampton, Ont.; Michael Levy, Newport Station; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; godchildren, Christen Baker, Ont.; Jamie and Jacob Baker, Martock. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a son, Wayne in 2001, at the age 34. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, where funeral service will be held, 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Dr. John Bartol officiating. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations may be made to the S.P.C.A.; the Windsor Food Bank or a charity of one’s choice. “May God be holding you close, as we are holding you close in our hearts. We will love and miss you always. Till we meet again.”
