Mabel Berniece Flett (née Burkholder) June 19, 1908 - July 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Passed away peacefully July 9, 2005 at Cerwydden Care in Duncan . Born June 19, 1908 at Clearwater, Alberta. Predeceased by her husband Wally Flett in 1962, also her brothers Ephran and Winston Burkholder and sister Ada Gregory. Mom / Nanny will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter Berniece and son-in-law Wayne Bruce as well as by her granddaughter Stacey Bruce ( Cory Neen ) and nieces and nephews. Mom came to Duncan with her family when she was a young girl and later married Wally Flett and lived with him on the family farm on Flett Rd. off Herd Rd. until Wally passed away. Mom was a very active member of the Duncan United Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the Choir was a member of the Violet Lee Fellowship and U.C.W. Special thanks to all the loving staff at Cerwydden Care and to Dr. Roy for his years of medical attention. A Memorial Service will be held at Duncan United Church, 246 Ingram Street Duncan B.C. on Wednesday July 20, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with a tea following in the hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
