BREAU, BLANCHE THERESA - Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, the death of Mrs. Blanche Theresa (Mahar) Breau, wife of the late Pierre Domicien Breau, of St. George, NB, occurred on July 14, 2005. Born in St. George on November 13, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John Robert and Matilda (Erdis) Mahar. Blanche is survived by two daughters, Rose (Gerald) Guthrie of Seeley's Cove and Marguerite (Doug) Cook of Utopia; 7 grandchildren, David Guthrie (Melanie) of Lawrencetown, NS, Kevin Guthrie (Cindy) of Seeley's Cove, Michael Guthrie (Cathy) of Lawrencetown, April Cook of Utopia, Shelley Guthrie of St. George, Michelle (Sean) Furlong of Dalhousie, and Danielle (Larry) Justason; 12 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Nicholas, Alexander, Patrick, Nathan, Emilie, Joseph, Kendall, Hailey, Olivia and Emily; one brother, Jack (Gladys) Mahar of Fredericton; five sisters, Marion Mahar of Utopia, Irene Stewart of Saint John, June Kingston of Utopia, Helen Waycott of Calais, Maine and Ann Dybish of Winnipeg, Manitoba; sister-in-law, Ola Mahar; nieces, nephews and cousins. Blanche was predeceased by one brother, Tom Mahar, and one sister Mae Mahar. Blanche, along with her husband, owned and operated Breau's Diner in St. George for several years. She loved gardening and her garden was her passion. She also loved travelling. She served in WWII and was a supporter of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch - 40, St. George. By family request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service in Blanche's memory will be held from St. George's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, July 18th, at 11 am, with Fr. John Ighacho officiating, followed by interment in St. George's Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
