DAIGLE, JOSEPH "TED" - 1915-2005 - Joseph James Theodore Daigle, 90, of Baines Corner, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, July 4th 2005, following a lengthy illness. Born in South Tetagouche, NB., he was the son of the late Silas and Bridgette (Christie) Daigle. A veteran of the Second World War, Ted served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army, he was a member of the Knights of Pythias, as well the Saint John Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ted was employed with Irving Pulp and Paper, later with Strescon as a Commissionaire, and he retired from Centracare in Saint John following many years of service. He was a trustee of the School Board in West Saint John, and member of the Carleton-Kirk United Church. Ted is survived by his daughter Shirley Leavitt (Jim) of Baines Corner, two grandsons; Keith Blizzard (Jocelyn), and Kirk Blizzard (Jacaleen), and great-grandson Ryan Blizzard all of Saint John, a sister, Rita Henry of West Bathurst as well as a special nephew Wendell Harquail of Moncton. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Audrey (McIlveen) Daigle in 2004, brothers; Martin and Wilfred, sisters; Bernadette and Alfreda. Visitation will be held at the Carleton-Kirk United Church, 1 Carlton Kirk Place, West Saint John on Tuesday, July 19th from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM followed by a reception in the Thomson church hall. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.
