Geraldine G. LeGay May 10, 1938 - July 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) LeGAY, Geraldine G. - 67, Waverley, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2005. Born May 10, 1938, in Newcastle Bridge, N.B., she was a daughter of Thelma (Marr) Nash and the late Walter Nash. In her younger years in New Brunswick, she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir. She was also a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Waverley Volunteer Fire Department. Geraldine loved to make crafts and quilt, having made many quilts before her health failed. She was a member of the Mayflower Handquilters Society as well as the Ceilidh Quilters. She loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Firman LeGay; daughter, Valerie LeGay-Leightizer (Garry), Waverley; son, Eric LeGay, Dartmouth; brother, Johnny Nash, Ontario; sisters, Beulah (George) Goomansingh, Betty (Eddie) Mayer, both of Ontario; grandchildren, Nicole, Shannon, and Natasha; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Eugene LeGay, and brother, Wilmot Nash. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, where a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Private family interment to follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens. Special thank you to Dr. Brian Ashton, Donna Wyse (special friend and caregiver), and to palliative care and VON. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
