HARPER, Mary, Surrounded by family at Western Hospital, Alberton, P.E.I., on Friday, June 24, 2005, Mary Esther Harper, beloved wife of the late Fred Harper of Tignish, P.E.I., in her 87th year. Born December 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the lat e Joseph and Alice (nee A'Hearn) Handrahan. Lovingly remembered by her children, David (Lois) Harper, Tignish; Ruth (John) Kenny, Montrose, P.E.I., Wendell Harper, St. Catharines; Alice (Dick) Ellsworth, Tignish; Philip (Muriel) Harper, Tignish; Fred a Hardy, Alberton; Bob (Penny) Harper, St. Catharines; Nancy (Shane) Rochford, Riverview, N.B.; Molly (Derryl) Buote, Tignish; Edward (Darlene) Harper, Clyde River, P.E.I., Joe (Patsy) Harper, Tignish; Rosemary (George) Terry, North Bay, ON. She is s urvived by 38 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are brother and sisters Margurite Gavin, Sea Cow Pond, P.E.I.; Leonard (Doreen) Handrahan, Tignish; Chester (Lena) Handrahan, Tignish; Frances (Brad) Leclair, Ascension, P.E. I.; Doreen (Frank) Tucker, St. Catharines; Sr. Geraldine Handrahan, CND, Charlottetown. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorne Smith of Bedeque, Inez Handrahan, Tignish; Ida Handrahan, Tignish; Hazel Harper, Tignish; and Florence Bernard, Summerside, P.E.I. Predeceased by a grandson Danny Kenny, son-in-law Doug Hardy, daughter-in-law Josie Harper, sisters Hilda Karkus, Theresa Wolsey, Mable Smith and by brothers Levi, Hubert, James, Edgar, Roy and Ernie.
