HILL, Fred, Of Welland, suddenly at the NHS - Welland Site, on Thursday, June 30, 2005, in his 74th year. Cherished husband for 53 years to Phyllis Hill (nee Dunn). Beloved father of Kerry Hill (Jackie) of Port Colborne, Troy Hill of Welland and Bro oke Tardif (Claude) of Hamilton. Loving grandfather of Sean, Scott, Rhonda, Christy, Andrea, Dylan, Colin and Liam. Loved brother of Eileen Lindey of Welland. Predeceased by parents, George and Mary Hill, daughter, Pamela, granddaughters, Rebecca and Rachel and sister, Betty Phillips. Born in Welland, Mr. Hill remained a life long and productive member of the community. He was employed for 37 years with Ontario Paper as a Lab Technician, retiring in 1991. Mr. Hill was a member of St. David's Ang lican Church, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch - 4, Welland and the Legion Dart League. Over the years he played in a number of marching bands, beginning with the Welland Sea Cadets, the Trojan Marching Band, the Old Timers Bugle Band and culminating with the Welland Belleraphon Band. Friends are invited to visit at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Sunday, July 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Deacon Richard Middleton will conduct the funeral service in the Cudney Chapel on Monday, July 4th at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Welland Hospital Foundation would be deeply appreciated. The Royal Ca nadian Legion, Branch - 4, Welland, will hold a Memorial Service in the Cudney Chapel Sunday evening at 7;00 p.m. - 7/2/2005
