HOWARTH, Robert William, October 18, 1924-July 17, 2005, died peacefully in Niagara-on-the-Lake in his 81st year. Devoted husband of Dora for 55 years, dear father of David (Jo-Ann Reitzel), Nancy (Peter Taylor) and Melanie (Greg Bolzon) and proud g randfather of Sam, Isaac, Nicholas, Briana and Claire Howarth and Stephanne Taylor. Son of the late Mary Jane and Fred Howarth, brother of Fred (Ida) and Marjorie (Harold Clement) and predeceased by six sisters and two brothers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Bob was proud to have been born in Niagara-on-the-Lake and to have lived there his entire life. The wild creatures of the Niagara countryside will miss Bob's enthusiastic singing as he cycled the country roads of his home in the early morning hours. He was a respected longtime employee of Ferranti-Packard Ltd., in St. Catharines. He was also active in the community of St. Mark's Parish and was recognized for his service with the Order of Niagara. Bob's fav ourite recreation was golf, he was a member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club for many years. At Bob's request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to join in celebrating Bob's life at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Au gust 3, 2005 at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 41 Byron Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Those who wish to do so may make a charitable donation in Bob's name to the Bells Restoration Fund of St. Mark's Church or to the charity of their choice.
