GOODINE, MARY HELEN Mary H. Goodine of Bear Island passed away July 16, 2005 at her home. Born in Orkney, Scotland in 1922, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Helen (Brown) Norquay. Mary emigrated to Canada at the age of seven with her family. In 1946 she married Dow Goodine and together they operated Pleasant View Farms in Bear Island until Dow passed away in 1999. She was a member of St. Johns Anglican Church and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary is survived by her children, Mabel Monteith (James), Keswick, and their daughter, Lisa DeGagne (Greg), Nackawic, Irene Chapman (Robert), Brampton, ON and their children, Jennifer and Ryan, David Goodine (Lee), Bear Island and their children, Amy Goodine, Fredericton and Scott Goodine, Bear Island; a great granddaughter, Emily; two sisters-inlaw, Marion Norquay, Lr. Queensbury and Ellen Norquay, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Isabella and Marjorie Norquay and five brothers, William, John, Robert, Albert and James Norquay. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Clement's Anglican Church, 6832 Route 2, Dumfries on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Bear Island Cemetery.
