Robert E. MCKAY

Robert E. McKay 1937-2005 Robert E. McKay of Moncton, NB passed away on Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late William and Ethel (MacPherson) McKay. Robert was very active in the community, he was a volunteer for the East End Boys and Girls Club, volunteered for many years at the Peoples Park Tower, as well as a volunteer at the Moncton Wesleyan Church. In his spare time he enjoyed playing pool and cards. Robert is survived by his loving wife Rose of 36 wonderful years, of Moncton; daughter, Tammy (Brent) McCarthy of Miramichi; as well as one very special grandson, Keegan "Robert" McCarthy. He is also survived by one brother, Donald (Myrna) McKay; four sisters, Ella McKay, Margaret MacKay, Bertha Jones, Francis Edgett all of Moncton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Leonard, Kenneth, Wilfred; and a sister, Dorothy Meunier. Visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, July 22 at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or a memorial of the donor's choice.
