Mrs. Ruth Arlie Burke (née Stevenson) October 17, 1921 - July 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Bowman Funeral Home BURKE: Ruth Arlie, formerly of Chatham passed away peacefully at home in London on Friday, July 22, 2005. Born in Tilbury East Township, 83 years ago, daughter of the late Peter Stevenson and Ida (Wilson). Surviving are son Todd Burke of Chatham and daughter Jill Burke of London, two grandchildren Ferren and Brianna, one sister Florence Wellwood of Merlin as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Ruth was member of the IODE, a past member of the Chatham Granite Club, Thames Horizon Shuffleboard Club, and was an avid bridge player. Ruth will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Friends will be received at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham (519-352-2390) for visitation on Tuesday, July 26 from 7-9 pm and funeral service on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 10:00am.
