Mrs. Violet Madeline Kierstead (née Wilson) January 28, 1927 - July 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) KIERSTEAD, Violet Madeline KIERSTEAD, Violet Madeline - 78, Dartmouth, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 23, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Saint John, N.B., she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Vi was a daughter of the late Robert and Florence Wilson. We will miss her gentle sunny smile that always greeted us from the kitchen and the carport. Vi was a member of the Stevens Road Baptist Church, Dartmouth. Surviving are her husband, Bill, of 52 years; son, David (Helen), Toronto. Vi was predeceased by her daughter, Elaine, in infancy; twin sister, Edith Prosser. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today with funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth with Rev. John Porter officiating along with Rev. Joanna Doak. Interment will follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the burial in Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre.
