Mrs. Barbara "Barb" Lenore Boiduk September 20, 1956 - July 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Barbara Lenore Boiduk, September 20, 1956 – July 24, 2005 She asked us to laugh and remember the smiles, the moments of pure joy with God’s most precious children that can never be erased. Service from the heart for all families came as naturally as breathing and returned priceless rewards that filled her with happiness. Service is the work of the soul and perhaps there are other worlds to serve in. The family and friends of Barb Boiduk sadly must inform you that her soul has slipped its earthly bonds to begin a greater journey on Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. A biologist by training, Barb found her true calling as the Executive Director of the Cumberland Early Intervention Program in 1993. Building that program from small beginnings and nurturing the success of the wonderful Cumberland SMILE program made her most grateful for the opportunities life had sent her way. Barb always said that her family grew larger every year, for although she leaves to mourn her much loved husband of 25 years, Philip, her mom, Shirley Jolly, brothers Dan (Eleanor) of Amherst and Rick (Lorraine) of Bridgewater N.S., as well as nieces Erin and Trish, nephews Jason and Nick; she really has an Early Intervention family so vast and far reaching that to count them is impossible! Foremost in that number are special Godson Austin, ‘best friend’ Sean, and the dear friends and colleagues with whom she shared Early Intervention service over the past ten years…Robin, Lisa, Jill, Tina, Trish and Sue who was always there. Bless you all. She will be sorely missed by her beasties…the beloved Abigail, Tucker, Just Dandy, Qu’appel and Birdy. The legacy of her gardens must now bloom for other’s eyes. Barb was predeceased by her dad, Ted Jolly and her brother Mike. Cremation has taken place. Barb’s family will receive friends and relatives at Campbell’s Funeral Home, (667-9906) 98 Church Street, Amherst on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church, Amherst with Rev. Patti Blundell officiating. Reception to follow in Burgess Hall. Donation’s in Barb’s memory can be made to the Cumberland SMILE program or the Terry Fox Foundation. “Look closely and you will find her heart woven into a corner of your life” www.campbells-amherst.ca
