Anna Malthouse June 21, 1912 - July 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Sadly we will all miss you Anna, Mother. Predeceased by her husband Vic, Sisters, Sonia, Doris, Mary, brothers Bill and Peter. Anna is survived by her son Douglas (Ann), sister Ann (Marie) in Edmonton, brother-in-law Vic in Toronto, sister-in-law Doris of Winnipeg and two god children Iris and Gina, nephew Dave (Wendy) and family in B.C., Jessie Meckison, and many nieces and nephews and loving friends. Anna was an excellent homemaker, she loved cooking and baking, she made the house a home. She worked briefly for Eaton’s (5th floor), Gordies Restaurant at Polo Park, and was a caregiver herself. Anna resided in Winnipeg since 1927. Anna enjoyed bowling, playing bingo at Bourkvale C.C., and she enjoyed watching and listening to all sports. Anna lived in St. James for 40 years, and had wonderful neighbors. In her later years of life Anna loved to listen to “Polka Warehouse” on Saturday night, and hanging on to the back of a chair and dancing after eating her perogies. Many thanks for all the years of homecare given by her treasured caregivers Peggy, Jutta, and Mary. Also a thank you to Reuben Latour and professional staff at West Park Manor, my mother’s last home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow for family and friends. Donations may be made to West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Ave., Wpg., MB, R3R 1X2. “Rest in peace, The Lord has called”
