GOODWIN, STELLA (NEE WHITEHOUSE) - 94, passed away on July 25th at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Murray in 1997. Born in East Knowlesville, NB in 1911, she spent most of her married life in West Saint John and retirement years in Hartland. She has been a resident of Loch Lomond Villa in Saint John for the past 1 1/2 years. She is survived by her loving sons and families: Kenneth (Gloria) of Grand Bay and Carl (Norma) of Halifax; two sisters: Wilma Orser of Hartland and Dorothy Lee of Grand Bay; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Remains are resting at the Britton Funeral Home in Hartland with visitation 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday, July 27th and the funeral from The Britton Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland, NB, immediately following the service. Donations to the Greenwood Cemetery would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff and residents of the Loch Lomond Villa for their kindness and friendship and to the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit of the Regional Hospital for their special care and family support.
