Charlotte "Marie" Wheadon (née Carefoot) March 27, 1924 - July 28, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) It has only been a year or so and once again another must go…. We the family must announce the passing of our Mom, Wife and Grandma. Charlotte Marie (nee Carefoot) Wheadon was born March 27, 1924 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and lived in Duncan until July 28, 2005. Predeceased by her devoted husband of 56 years Charles Edward Paul Wheadon. She is survived by the sons she adored: Robert Alexander Wheadon (Christine) of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Garnet Edward Wheadon (Karen) of Blackstock, Ontario; her cherished daughter Paula Mae Wheadon (Douglas Rajala) of Salt Spring, BC; her treasured grandchildren Casey and Troy Wheadon Rajala and Alexander and Elizabeth Wheadon. Marie was a contributor, a nurse of 25 years, and a realtor for 10 years. She was active in the community, she loved her bridge ladies almost as much as the game. The highroller members were valued friends and the yacht club was a favourite hangout. She gave such joy to her friends, colleagues and her family. Celebration of Life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Reception will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the family home. Flowers gratefully declined. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family will forever be grateful to Monica, Janet, Donna, Louise, Cathy and Joanne of VIHA and Drs. Robinson and Hutchinson.
