Iole Rossi (née Giammichele) May 23, 1929 - July 25, 2005 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother and Nonna at St. Peter's Hospital on Monday, July 25, 2005, in her 77th year. Loving wife of the late Nazzareno. Devoted mother of Rosalba and Peter Janack, and Robert and Lilliana. Adoring Nonna to Alexander, Simone and Marco. Predeceased by her parents Ferdinando and Erma Giammichele from Dogliola, Italy. Cherished sister and sister-in-law to Nina and the late Tony Natelli, Edo and Angela Giammichele of Italy, the late Joseph and Maria Giammichele, the late Rocco and Maria Giammichele of Rome, Italy. Will be dearly missed by special friends, Dr. Edwin and Margaret Janack and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to St. Peter's Hospital Palliative Care 2 West, Dr. Seeley, Dr. Mantles, Chris Stevens and her team of outstanding nurses and staff and Extended Care Lanny Wadkins and her team. Iole was more than just a devoted wife, mother and Nonna, her amazing strength brought so much joy, hope, compassion and ideas, always giving moral support to her family and friends. She filled our lives with food and the best baked cookies, cakes and pastries and in return all she wanted was a hug and a smile. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Friday, July 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers Friday at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at Cathedral of Christ The King Church, on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
