At the Belleville General Hospital, surrounded with love by his family, on Thursday, July 28, 2005 in his 60th year. Beloved husband for 35 years to Vicky (nee Ling). Devoted and loving father of Christopher MacLaren and Kristen MacLaren (Jeremy Sizer). Loving, caring son of the late Matilda and Harold MacLaren. Beloved brother of Helen Clarke (Don) and Kenneth MacLaren (Nicole). Cherished son in law of Betty Ling and the late George. Dearest brother in law of Karen Baker (Gerry) and Lori Ling. Special uncle to Sandra Dickey (Doug), Brenda Green (Peter), Dale Clarke, Karlie and Joshua McGeachy, Ian, Michelle and Nadine MacLaren. Also missed by his great nieces and great nephews. A celebration of Jim's life will be held in Christ Church Anglican, corner of Catherine and Coleman Street, Belleville, on Saturday afternoon, July 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. Private family interment Belleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Children, Christ Church Anglican Building Fund or the Pancreatic Oncology Program at Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
