DORA CLAIRMONT Dora Clairmont, 92, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence on Thursday, July 7, 2005. Dora was born March 10, 1913 in Fort Frances to the late William and Lena Petruk. She had lived all her life in Fort Frances. In her earlier years, she was an active member of the C.W.L. and also was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. She also had served on the Rainycrest Home for the Aged Auxiliary. She leaves to mourn her sister, Mary Grimoldby of Lewiston, Idaho; nephew, Michael (Beatrice) Petruk of Thunder Bay, Ont., and their children, Kyle and Jessica; niece, Cathy (Bob) Isotalo of Thunder Bay, Ont., and their children, Jennifer and Kenny; special niece Shirley Gaines of Palo Alto, Calif.; as well as other nieces and nephews in the United States. She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert Vincent Clairmont on Feb. 4, 1971; parents, William and Lena Petruk; sister, Eugenia; and brothers, Walter, Michael, and Billy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rainycrest Chaplain John Chornabay officiating. A private family interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances. Friends may visit with the family prior to the funeral service on Tuesday morning at Green Funeral Home. The pallbearers will be members of Dora’s family. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
