JONES, J.R. (Bob) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of J.R. (Bob) Jones on June 26, 2005 at Vancouver General Hospital. Bob started his career with Household Finance Corp. soon after he arrived in Vancouver from Ontario in the mid sixties, working his way up to Real Estate Supervisor for Western Canada. In 1971 he joined Woodward's Stores Ltd., rising from Property Manager to Vice President, Real Estate. When he left Woodward's in 1990 he became president of Metrowest Realty Inc. and proceeded with a retail lease consulting service. Bob is survived by his wife, Edie; his sons, Glenn and Craig (Kathy), their mother, Carol, and grandson, JJ; Edie's daughter, Karin (James) and grandson, Graydon. Bob is also survived by his sister, Gwynn (Dallas) in Sarnia, Ontario; nieces, Pamela and Sheila; nephews, Dan and Mike and Uncle John and all their families. To those of you in the real estate and retail industry who have crossed Bob's path, he wanted to offer his gratitude for your friendship, camaraderie and for the thrill, challenge and excitement that each deal brought.
