Marjorie Beryl BRIGGS

BIRD, Marjorie Beryl (nee Briggs). Died peacefully in St. Lambert on Friday, July 8, 2005 in her eighty-third year. Born in Norwich, England, she came to North America in 1946 and was married in Washington, D.C. a year later. She joined her husband at the University of Toronto and they moved to Montreal in 1950. An active world-wide traveller, and committed tennis player, she will be sadly missed by her husband, Brian; children, Joanne, Neil and Colin; daughter-in-law, Laurie-Ann; and grandchildren Rachel and Esme. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church on 95 Lorne Avenue in St. Lambert followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to McGill University for the scholarship fund of the Women Associates would be appreciated. Published in the Montreal Gazette from 7/9/2005 - 7/11/2005
